St. Petersburg Amazing Scenic Cup

This is a rare porcelain cup / mug made by the famous St. Petersburg Imperial factory during the reign of Tsar Alexander III as Emperor of Russia in 1892. This is probably the best decorated piece I ahve owned by them! The cup is very much in teh style of Royal Vienna pieces. It is large enough that it might be a small mug in which case it never would have had a saucer but I am unsure. he piece is hand painted with a superb scene to the front of what is probably Venus and Cupid. She is sitting with her breasts exposed, two white doves in her lap with Cupid looking as if he wants to climb in her lap for a hug. Nice drapes in the background and cupid's bow on the tile floor. The scene is surrounded by a partially raised gold trim. The rest of the cup has a turquoise ground color to it with some nice gold trim to the top rim with pink and black lines to break it up. A gold design coming down from the rim into the turquoise ground. Some of the gilding has raised elements to it. Typical handle shape for the classicism period highlighted with gilding. The cup is marked with the Saint Petersburg , Russia , under glaze green mark Czar Alexander III 92 for 1892 as well as a green dot near the edge as shown typical for authentic pieces but not sure what they represent. Now for the not so great news. The piece has a large chunk broken out of the one side including the handle which is broken through the bottom terminal. It is one large piece so it should not be hard for a good restorer to get it back to perfection since the current restoration isn't exaclty great. It's functional but could be done better for sure. The cup is just under 3 inches tall with a diameter of 2.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
