St. Petersburg Floral Plate #4

This is a porcelain plate made by the famous St. Petersburg factory during the reign of Czar Alexander II as Emperor of Russia who ruled from 1855 until 1881. Very reminiscent of the Royal Copenhagen Saxon Flowers design porcelain plates but here made by the Imperial factory and a little nicer if I may say so. The plate has a relief design to the rim with a nice gold trim to the edge. There are five single flowers hand painted along the rim with a superb large floral arrangement to the right side of the well and three more single flowers and a leaf design filling in the rest of the space. A really nice looking plate fit for royalty! The plate is in great condition with some wear to the gilding along the edge in two areas. There is what looks like dirt in the pictures on the elft side of the well but it is actually a small leaf design painted to hide a small flaw. Another tiny black firing mark to the rim. It is marked with the green A II mark under the crown with the Roman numeral VI under it as well as the typical green dots along the foot rim no one seems to really know what their meaning is and an impressed number 2 as shown. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
