Bird Figural Seal

This is a very rare treat - a figural seal to hang on a necklace in the shape of a bird made either by Charles Gouyn's factory at St. James or by Chelsea in the mid 18th century. A fun piece that is painted nicely and has a 14K gold hanger on the top with the seal part underneath made of Agate or Carnelian held on by a 14K gold mount. Only the best had these gold mounts so it is a special piece indeed! The seal has a lady with a column next to her holding a horn of plenty - a bit hard to make out so have a look at the pictures. The piece is not marked which is normal. It is about 1.25 inches tall and in great condition with a small chip to the tip of the beak though it is painted the same color and not obvious at all - might have even happened during the making since the color is exactly the same. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
