Walton ? Bull w/ Calf Figurine

This is a superb figurine made of Creamware in the Staffordshire region around the early 19th century. Possibly by John Waltonthough his pieces are more often than not marked so it could be another maker from this region as well. The figure is of a bull standing in a pasture and looking at a calf lying in front of him. Boccage to the back and some spagetti type grasses applied to the base. It is a nicely modeled and hand painted piece and looks great! The figurine displays perfectly and looks to be in perfect condition but upon very close inspection one can figure out that the horns have had work done to them as well as part of the boccage. It's pretty much perfectly done though so almost impossible to by just looking at it! Some glze missing from the snout of the bull and a hairline crack to his front right leg as shown. The piece is unmarked underneath but that's normal. The figurine is 5.625 inches tall, 4.125 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
