Pair of Creamware Dalmation Figurines

This is a rare proper pair of creamware pottery Dalmation dog figurines sitting on brown oval bases made in the Staffordshire region in the early 19th century. It is not easy to find these especially as a pair and they are a really nice example of this sort of ware. Each dog is nicely modeled and decorated with a yellow ground color with black spots with the brown base with a black trim around the edge. Each dog is wearing a black collar with a chain to it which differes slightly on the models - one having a ring at the end while the other does not. Each figurine is in superb condition with some minor wear. Each has an air hole for the firing process perfectly hidden in the back belly region. The set displays perfectly and is really nice! As is the norm neither figure is marked. Each figurine is about 5 inches tall with the base being about 3.25 by 2.25 inches with one being a little bigger than the other.
