Figural Spillvase

This is a superb figural spillvase made in the Staffordshire region around 1790. Not sure who exactly made this piece but it is of top quality - much nicer than most. The piece is made of pearlware and depicts a gentleman with his dog on a base with flowers and grass as well as a large tree which forms the vase part of this piece. Superbly modeled and painted. The figurine is about 6.875 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. The piece is in great condition with two leaves being chipped a bit on the base, a small chip on his left toe, three spots of black paint flaking on his hat, a chip to the top part of the tree trunk which if overpainted would not show as it barely affects the rim and the dogs hidden left paw is chipped off. Since it is behind him and can only be seen from the back and even then barely it doesn't affect the piece at all! So all in all in top shape for this kind of piece. Unmarked as is the norm.
