Figural Pocketwatch Holder

This is a figural pocket watch holder made made in the Staffordshire region around 1800. The piece is based on a Paris porcelain clock, with Urania sitting on top of the empty watch holder and pointing to the celestial sphere with some books stacked up on the other side. The base has a nice colorfull sponged look likely meant to look a bit like marble. I think she is made of Pearlware as the piece has that blueish tint to the underside typical of this type of ware. Not sure who exactly made her but it is definitely one of the better makers of this region. A very well modeled and painted piece with about as good a subject matter as one can wish for. The entire figure is about 9 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. She is in great condition with some minor issues like paint flakes, a small chip to one corner, the pointers in her hand are broken off and three fingers have damage as well. There is a tight stable hairline to a back left side as shown and some old stickers from previous owners / sellers. Not marked which is normal. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
