Creamware Candlesticks

This is a superb pair of candlesticks. I think they are made of creamware but it could be some other sort of pottery in that color range as well. I could not find anything like them even after extensively seaching. Leeds ware comes to mind from the Staffordshrie region but they could be some other ENglish ro even italian maker as well. They definitely ahve some good age to them. Early 19th century or even into the 18th century. Really a nice pair of sticks ! Each has a nicely reticulated base with a nice design to them in relief. They sit on three feet and both are heavily detailed with different relief designs. The bobeche part appears to have been made separately before being joined with the rest of the piece. A stunning set of candleholders that would look amazing on any table or mantle. Both pieces are unmarked underneath but that's pretty common on antique wares of this style. They are in great condition but not without flaws - most from when they were made! A couple of minor firing cracks and a very minor hairline, a few tiny glaze chips and one has a small repaired chip to the top edge which could be done better and another large chip but that is glazed over and from when it as made. They displays amazingly together! Each is about 10.25 inches tall with the base being about 5 inches in diameter with the feet sticking out a bit from there.
