Fighting Boys Figurine

This is a great figurine made in the Staffordshire region in the early 19th century. It is of two boys fighting with one boy having taken a bird out of the bird nest in the hat and the other boy not liking it. The piece is made of pearlware and is well modeled and painted. The figurine is about 4.875 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. The piece is in superb condition with one or two minor glaze flakes but no real damage. Their heads seem a bit deformed but they were made that way. Amazingly this is a rare marked piece - probably a painter's mark as shown. Maybe the experts can figure out the maker from that.
