Named Scenes Cup & Saucer

This is a superb dish made by Spode in the early 19th century. It reminds me more of Derby pieces I owned and I wonder if it is maybe a replacement piece but I have no idea. The dish has a nice shape to it with two handles, is hand painted with some superb gold trim all along the edge and a very high quality scene in the center with a view that is named underneath - Eltham Bridge Kent - which still can be seen today near Eltham Palace in Kent near London. Amazingly it is in great condition with almost no wear to the gilding at all and only a spot of wear on the right side of the scene in the trees as shown. A couple of very minor scratches so in as good a shape as you can hope for. It marked underneath with the black SPODE mark as well as the name of the scene and has an old dealer sticker and crazy price attached to the underside as well. The platter is 2.25 inches tall, 11.75 inches wide and 7.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
