Spode Botanical Specimen Plate

This is a nice dessert dish made by Spode in the early 19th century. It has a nice shape to it with a handle to one side and is hand painted with a botanical specimen in the center - Purple Candy Tuft - and a nice gold trim to the edge and handle area. The flower is done very nicely with the green stems and leaves and the purple tops made of lots of small blossoms. A nice looking piece for sure! The dish is not marked underneath except for the name of the flower in red but it is a known shape by them. It is in great condition with just some wear to the gilding and some minor use marks. The dish is 2 inches tall, 8.25 inches wide and 9.5 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
