Owl

This is a figurine of an owl made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten in the early 20th century when it was first designed. That means it is one of the rare original pieces and not a later copy! The bird is superbly modeled and handpainted in very naturalistic colors and looks almost real. Quite the cute little piece! It helps that is is in perfect condition with an indent on the bottom base edge from the making. The figurine is 4 inches tall, 3.125 inches wide and about 5 inches long. The owl is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst and the model number U1249. The top of the base has the artist name impressed into it though it is hard to make out. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
