Couple Figurine

This is a large and superb figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten around 1908 when it was first designed by the famous Hugo Meisel. It is of a couple that is nicely modeled and painted in the Art Nouveau style of the period. They are dressed elegantly and the detailed painting on their clothes is superb! A very elegant piece that is a must for any collection. The figurine is 11.5 inches tall, 8.125 inches wide and 6.25 inches deep. The figure is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as an impressed U196 for the model number, Germany in blue and the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst. On the side of the base we find the artist signature Meisel impressed in script. The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
