Hunter with Dog Figurine

This is a large and superb figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten in 1924 about when it was first designed by the famous Hugo Meisel. It is of a hunter sitting on a tree stump with his trusted dog by his side. The dogg has a bird in his mouth and the hunter is holding a rifle in his lap and a bag underneath him on the ground. I do believe there is a mate to this piece of a lady figurine but I do not own it (yet). The piece is extremely well modeled and painted in the Art Nouveau style of the period. A stunning piece for sure! The figurine is 10.75 inches tall, 10.75 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep. The figure is marked with the blue fox mark as well as an impressed U461 (I think) for the model number, Made in Germany in smudged black and the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst. On the top of the base we find the artist signature H.Meisel impressed in script with 24 next to it for the year mark. The piece is in greatt condition with one leaf broken off and the very tip of the rifle seems a little rough though it still has the little indent in the front so it might just be the way it was made or a tiny tiny sliver is missing of the front. It displays perfectly! There is a shallow groove over the fox mark not sure if it a second as they are usually deeper but I assume so. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
