Horn Player Figurine

This is a superb figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten around 1922 when he was first designed by the famous Mauritius Pfeiffer who originally was a sculptor I believe. His pieces are extremely collectible! The figurine is of a hunter blowing his horn. A really well modeled and painted figurine that is typical for this designer and period. This is an original period piece but they were also later reporduced by Volkstedt. The figurine is 8.125 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. He is marked with the painted blue impressed fox mark as well as an impressed U411 as the model number, an impressed II, Made in Germany in blue and the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst. On the back of the base we find the artist name Mauritius Pfeiffer impressed into the paste. The figure e is in perfect. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
