Fox Figurine

This is a figurine of a fox curled up for his nap made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten in the early 20th century when it was first designed. That means it is one of the rare original pieces and not a later copy! The figurine is superbly handpainted in very naturalistic colors and looks almost real. The piece is in perfect condition with a white spot on his nose that seems to be on purpose and a few tiny black firing spots. It is 3.75 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide and about 6 inches deep. The fox is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst as well as the incised model number U1227. The artist's name is impressed in the back - H. Splieth . Please email me for more information or other pictures.
