Ballet Dancer Figurine

This is a large and superb figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstaetten around 1913 when it was first designed by Claire Volkhart . It is of a ballet dancer couple that is nicely modeled and left in the white to show off all the detail of the porcelain itself. She has a butterfly on her left hand which is a nice addition. A very well done and elegant piece and rather large! The figurine is 13 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The figure is marked with the impressed fox mark as well as an impressed U88 for the model number and the impressed stamp stating Schwarzburger Werkstaetten fuer Porzellankunst . On the front of the base we find the artist name as well as the year 1913 impressed. The piece is in perfect condition but there are some marks of where the firing supports were attached as shown to the underside of her skirt and his right arm. There is one spot on the bottom edge in the front where something appears to have stuck during the firing and then chipped off but it doesn't take away from the piece at all. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
