Boy & Girl w/Book Figurine

This is a nice figurine made by the Schwarzburger Werkstätten für Porzellankunst around 1925. Modeled by Otto Thiem during this period. This piece is left in the white and the superb off white paste of this maker means it looks quite elegant without being painted! The figure is of a young boy and girl next to each other with the girl holding a book open and the boy writing in it. Plain oval base. The girl has pig tails in her hair which are super cute. The figurine displays very nicely but has a small chip to the front right corner of the book as well as some manufacturing flaws - a small firing crack in the back of the next of the boy and a flaw to the base behind the girl's butt. Nothing that takes away from the piece! The piece is 6.25 inches tall, 6.625 inches wide and 4.125 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed fox mark underneath as well as the impressed model number U29 underneath. Also the complete name of this maker is impressed underneath. The fox has a cut mark through it denoting it being a second choice because of the firing cracks. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
