Middle Eastern Market Coffee Pot

This is a Middle Eastern style lidded coffee pot made in Russia by Kusnetzoff / Werbiliki ( Twer ) in the late 19th century. These pieces were made for Export to the Ottoman Empire or other Middle East areas which can be seen by the Arabic writing under the mark. The pot has a typical shape for this area - tall and skinny with a long spout and is hand painted with a blue ground color as well as two primitive floral scenes surrounded by some relief design to the paste and a touch of gold trim. One comes across the cups from time to time but I don't think I ahve seen a coffee pot yet. The piece with the lid in place is 8.75 inches tall, 4.875 inches from handle to spout and 3.25 inches in diameter. The piece is in fairly good condition but there is a lot of wear to the gold trim the piece used to have. It is mostly gone. A good amount of firing faults as well - not the ebst quality porcelain but that is how they were. The lid has some major impurities along the edge. Still a ncie example and interesting for sure! And no real damage in terms of chips, etc. The piece is marked underneath with the red double headed eagle holding the orb and scepter over the cyrillic writing in an oval and the Arabic writing under that as shown.
