St. Petersburg Imperial Easter Egg

This is a very rare treat - a cobalt blue egg with the cypher of the Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna - third daughter of Nicholas II who was the last Tsar of Russia. She was born on June 26, 1899 and died (or was died) along with the rest of the family on July 17, 1918. The piece has a nice deep blue color and thus the gold artsy letters stand out very nicely. There is also a gold ring around the top hole. The front has the russian letters that look like H and M but are an M and an N in our alphabet. The back has the year 1915 on it. It does come with its original ribbon which was made of silk and has seen better days but it is there which is nice. The bottom bow part is perfect but the top is frayed and is very brittle or whatever you call it with fabric. The egg is about 2.5 inches tall and about 2.25 inches in diameter. It is not marked but these were never marked. A very rare egg and it is not even in the book on Russian Imperial Easter Eggs written by Tamara Kudriavtseva and Harold A. Whitbeck. I could only find one other example in my searches! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
