Scenic Tea Caddy #2

This is a superb scenic lidded tea caddy / jar / vase made by one of the so called Royal Vienna makers in the late 19th century. The piece is hand painted with two superb scenes - one on the front and one on the back as well as the typical Vienna type gold designs on each side and the shoulder.these are raised gold designs on pink, blue and reddish ground. The lid has a matching design all around and a nice floral finial to the top. The scenes and gilding is of a very good quality and a decorative piece that is rarer than the plates and much nicer I think. The piece is marked with the beehive or shield mark underneath as shown. It is 5.75 inches tall (including the lid), 3.125 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The piece is in great conditio with a bit of gold wear to the area where the lid rubs on the main body. two darker areas on the shoulders and lid from where someone had taped the lid in place which had yellowed. I cleaned it up quite a bit and it's hard to spot now. Could use a touch more cleaning to bring it back to perfect. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
