Partridge Bird Figurine

This is a great bird figurine made by Royal Vienna . Looking at the mark one would say it might be an 18th century peice but the underside and quality look more 19th century to me. Not a model one sees often and this type of bird is quite popular among collectors. The figure is nicely modeled and hand painted really well. The bird is standing on a fairly simple base with some applied green patches and lots of applied wheat sheaves under its belly around the front and sides that looks really nice. The bird itself has tons of detail to the feathers that make it look really nice. The figurine is in great condition with a little wear to the tip of the beak, around the left eye and a small spot on the left wing edge. The piece displays superbly! It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue beehive or Bidnenschild mark as shown. The figurine is 5.875 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and 4.875 inches deep.
