Rosenthal Turkey Figurine

This is a superb porcelain figurine of two turkeys made Rosenthal between 1936 and 1944. The mark is not clear enough to figure out the exact year. The figure was modeled by H. Krebs and is of a male / Tom turkey as well as a female / hen turkey standing on an ocatagonal base. They are superbly modeled and hand painted in the amazing under glaze colors which are prefect for this sort of figurine. Lots of details to both birds. Not a model you find often at all. And one of two I did find had a lousy coloration to it so this piece here is a definite must have. Perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday period! The figure is in perfect condition and is marked to the back with the imprssed artist name. There is a white streak along the neck of the lady but this is under glaze and not a scratch. Underneath it is marked with green Rosenthale mark with Selb - Germany under it as well as the impressed model number K. 527 and two red artist marks for the painters that decorated this piece. I know there are people out there that can ID them but my knowledge does not go that far. It might help date this figure more precisely. The figurine is 7 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
