Original Borzoi Pair Figurine

This is a rare porcelain figurine made by Rosenthal during the mid 19th century but definitely before 1961. It is of a pair of Barsois or Russian Wolfhounds and the figurine is superbly modeled and handpainted. It was first designed by Heidenreich and his name is incised into the side base. The figurine is in perfect condition. The piece is marked underneath with the green Rosenthal mark as shown in the pictures. The figurine is 5.5 inches tall, 7.25 inches long and 5 inches deep.
