Rosenthal Holzer Defanti Pierrot Figure

This is a superb figurine made by Rosenthal in 1938 I believe. The model number is 549 and it was first modeled by the famous Constantin Holzer-Defanti in 1919. The figure is of a lying down pierrot wearing a loose outfit with large black buttons, a black cap, green socks with a bit of red to the shoes, A superbly modeled piece that is hand painted perfectly. Just stunning and elegant. The figurine is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the green Rosenthal mark with Germany Kunstabteilung Selb underneath as shown in the pictures. Impressed C.Holzer-Defanti along the edge in the back and signed by the artist that painted it in gold udnerneath. The figurine is about 4.375 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 10 inches long.
