Roerstrand Figurine #2

This is a rare figurine made by Roerstrand in 1878. Only the second piece like it by them I have seen and I own them both. It is of a young gentleman or boy holding a basket in one hand. Dressed quite nicely with a hat with feathers on top. Nicely modeled and hand painted. The figurine is marked twice underneath once with the impressed Rorstrand mark as well as the black Rörstrand mark with the year 1878 and the artist initials By. Same artist for both figures. The figurine is in perfect condition with a touch of wear to the gilding mostly around the edge of his hat. The figure is just under 6 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
