Roerstrand Figurine

This is a rare figurine made by Roerstrand in 1874. It is of a gardener leaning on his shovel and watering can, holding some flowers in his right hand and looking a bit over dressed for the occasion :) Nicely modeled and handpainted and I cannot find any other figurines like it from this period. The figurine is marked twice underneath once with the impressed Rorstrand mark as well as the incised year 1873 which is when the blank was made and then the puce Roerstrand mark with the year 1874 which is when it was painted and the artist initials By. The figurine displays very nicely but the watering can has lost its handle and spout, he has a little chip to his hat which is not very obvious, two of the flower leaves are chipped and the ruffles on his sleeve are a bit damaged as well which is normal due to the extremely fragile nature of them. The figure is 8 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 3.125 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
