Roerstrand Scenic Dish

This is a really nice bowl / plate made by Rörstrand right around 1900. The nicest piece I have seen by them. It was hand pained by the famous Nils Emil Lundström and has a gaggle of geese walking on a large open field in the front with the village in the background. A couple of well places trees and the superb clouds in the blue sky make this a very elegant plate! The colors are under glaze which is very typial for the Art Nouveau period. Really a stunning dish! The piece is marked twice underneath once with the impressed Rorstrand mark which is a bit hard to see as well as the green Roerstrand mark with the artist initials NL under it. An old collectors label to the underside as well. The bowl is in superb condition with very few very minor surface scratches. The dish is about 12 inches in diameter and 2.25 inches tall. Looks great on display on the table but also has two holes with a string through it on the foot ring for hanging on the wall or you can use it as a bowl. Please email me for more information or other pictures. Nils Emil Lundström for Rörstrand
