Richard Klemm Set of 10 Bird of Paradise Design Cake Plates

This is a rare set of ten plates made by Richard Klemm between 1888 and 1916. They are handpainted with a scene including birds of paradise in a landscape surrounding as well as insects and a nice gold trim. We have collected this pattern for many years and have been told that the painter who painted this pattern on both RK marked pieces and crossed swords marked pieces was a Hausmaler trained at Meissen. The plates are all in perfect condition with almost no wear just a smudge in the paint of a bush on two plates. The plates are 1.125 inches tall and 8.5 inches in diameter. They are marked underneath with the RK under a crown mark with the word Dresden underneath. There is also a gold mark hiding another mark of the manufacturer of the blank plates underneath. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
