Rauenstein Strawflower Shoe

This is a rare slipper / shoe made by Rauenstein in the mid 19th century. Rare for sure since I ahve never come across one in all these years but it fits their style since they lover the strawflower design which this piece is decorated with. Nicely shaped (most likely copied from a Meissen design) and handpainted with the underglaze blue design it is a fun piece to look at. The shoe is marked on top where the foot would go which is unusual so it might have been made to advertise their wares! The mark is the RN mark in script under the crossed flags as shown. The piece is in great condition with some in the making flaws to the paste but no chips, etc. The shoe is 2 inches tall, 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
