Rauenstein Doll Set

This is a rare porcelain doll set of dished made by Rauenstein in the mid 19th century. I have not seen a complete set like this by them ever before so it is definitely not something common! The pieces are handpainted with the famous underglaze blue strawflower design and the paste has the ribbed design to it quite typical for Thuringia area makers. Most pieces are marked underneath with the RN mark in script and some with the RN mark in script under the crossed flags and the creamer has no mark except for an incised number 4. The set is in great condition with one saucer broken in half and reglued and a very tight hairline in the bottom of the creamer. One saucer has a dent in it from the making and there are some manufacturing impurities common to these pieces around this time period but all in all in excellent condition! The cups are 1.25 inches tall and 1.875 inches in diameter. The saucers are 0.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The sugar dish and lid are 2 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. The creamer is 1.5 inches tall and 1.875 inches in diameter. The teapot is 3.25 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter and the coffee pot is 4.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter.
