Rauenstein Lidded Creamer

This is a fun lidded creamer or miniature coffee pot for one of their famous doll sets (as it is the same size as one that was included in a set I owned) made by Rauenstein in the mid 19th century. The piece is handpainted with the famous underglaze blue strawflower design including a bird and the paste has the ribbed design to it quite typical for Thuringia area makers. The pot is marked underneath with the RN mark in script under the crossed flags as well as an incised M or something along those lines. The piece is in great condition with a small chip to the top edge of the pot and the finial on the lid was cleanly broken off and reattached. The pot is 4.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter.
