Rauenstein Colorful Coffee Pot

This is a coffee pot made by Rauenstein around 1800. Rauenstein is one of the better known Thuringia makers as they made a lot of porcelain mostly decorated with the strawflower pattern until the end of the 19th century but the older pieces are hard to find. Rauenstein existed from 1783 until about 1930. This pot has the typical ribbed design to the paste and is handpainted with two superb floral arrangements - one on each side as well as some nice puce trim and some flowers to the lid. This is probably one of the nicest pieces of Rauenstein I have seen! Amazingly this pot is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the R-n mark in black only used for a short time. The pot and lid are 11.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please e-mail me for more information or photos.

Price is $999
