Simple Popov Scenic Plate #2

This is a scenic plate made by Popov in the earlier to mid 19th century. Alexander Popoff founded the factory near Moscow in the early 19th century. The products were highly sought after and from 1810 until 1830 they produced the best quality wares and it closed in 1872. This piece here is not one of the really nice pieces but still a good example and quite typically Russian. The plate has a monotone scene in the center including a buidling in a landscape surrounding. The rest of the well has a beige / off white ground color to it with a gold ring around the edge, a leaf design trim to the rim and another gold ring around the outer edge of the rim with a raised "pearl" trim to the very edge. The plate is in good condition with what looks to be some stacking wear to the ground color of the well and wear to the gold trim. Still a nice example from a maker one does not come across often. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze Popow AT looking mark as well as an impressed number 25 as shown. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 8.75 inches in diameter.
