Popov Scenic Salt Dish #1

This is a superb open salt dish made by Popoff in the mid 19th century. I have never come across a salt dish by them and it is superbly hand painted with an all around scene in the Paris style including buildings and people in a landscape surrounding including water, trees and rocks with heavy gold trim to the top and bottom. The piece is is marked underneath with the under glaze Popow AT looking mark with a 28 impressed. The salt cellar is jsut over 1.75 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with some expected minor wear to the gilding. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
