Pirkenhammer Early Floral Plate

This is a rare early plate made by Pirkenhammer in the mid 19th century between 1857 and 1875 I would say. The factory was located in which is now the Czech Republic . A Mr. Hoeke founded the factory around 1803 with the help of the Greiner family (from the Thuringia area). In about 1810 Christian Fischer & Reichenbach bought it and after 1845 Reichenbach was gone. In 1853 he took his son in law into the business whose name was Ludwig von Mieg and thus it became Fischer & Mieg during which period this plate was made. They won a few very high prestige awards for their porcelain. The plate is hand painted with a superb iris flower arrangement in the center as well as some other flwoers and leaves. The rim has a cobalt blue ground color to it with lots of gilding over that. A relief design to the paste around the well is also highlighted with gilding. A gorgeous plate! The piece is in great condition with a flaw to the edge of the well as shown. Probably from when it was made due to the location. Still displays superbly! The piece is marked with the impressed F & M mrk for Fischer & Mieg as well as an over glaze red crossed hammer mark I have not come across before. The plate is 0.875 inches tall and 8.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
