Blanc de Chine Lalage Figurine

This is a figure of Lalage made by Nymphenburg in the late 19th or very early 20th century when they were first remade after the original 18th century models. She is one of the commedia dell'arte figurines - one of the greatest set of figurines ever designed by the famous Bustelli who made the best porcelain figurines ever! Superbly modeled with a nice pose and lots of detail left in the white to show it off perfectly! She is wearing a corset and a nice skirt with a bow around her neck, in between her breasts and in the back of her neck as well. She is holding a bowl in her left hand and a spoon in her right - ready to feed the baby monkey that Mezzetino is holding in his arm. I also just acquired that figurine so if you wanted you could have the set. The figure has the impressed shield mark on left side of the column under her skirts as well as underneath and the impressed number 1 over 0. She is in perfect condition which is amazing after all this time since the spoon or slap stick are often damaged. Not here though! The figurine is 8 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
