Water-Wagtail Bird Figurine #2

This is a figurine of a Water - Wagtail ( Bachstelze ) bird made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century just after WWII. First modeled by Franz Blazek in 1910 the figure is nicely modeled with the bird on the ground being supported by some grasses or reeds which helps support the super skinny little legs. The bird is really well hand painted painted. The figure is 5.125 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 4.875 inches long. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the model number 293 over 8 as well as the green shield mark with Nymphenburg under that and Western Germany in green under that. The front of the base has another impressed shield mark to it that was colored in blue. The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
