Miniature Vase on Pedestal w/ Gilding

This is a fun miniature vase / urn on a pedestal base. One does not find the vase version very often in this style - the satire version is more common. Here we have a little urn on top that sometimes comes with its greenery attached but here it is meant to be a vase for small flowers. The piece is modeled with lots of relief detail which is highlighted with gilding. The front of the base has the typical Bavarian shield type design to it in relief also highlighted with gilding. Gold trim to the edges as well. A very elegant piece with lots of nice detail to it. Imagine a few tiny wild flowers in it and voila a perfect combo :) Quite elegant when on display. The piece is in superb condition with just some very minor wear to the gilding in a spot or two. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath as well as the incised numbers 234 (I think) An early version of this model! Another impressed shield mark to the back of the pedestal opposite side of the Bavarian crest design. The entire piece is 6.625 inches tall and the bottom of the base is 2.125 inches on all sides.
