Tom Turkey Figurine #2

This is a fun figurine of a male turkey aka Tom made by Nymphenburg in the middle of the 20th century. It was first designed by Terletzki-Scherf who is probably one of the two best known animal designers of this factory. Hers are generally the more fun ones while Kaerner has the more realistic ones. This piece here is another great example of this superb artist! One of the nicest turkeys I have ever seen in porcelain and difficult to find. Very well modeled and painted just enough to make it look fun and elegant especially the fun base. The figure is 5.5 inches tall, 4.625 inches wide and about 4.25 inches from breast to tail. The bird is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the model number 936 over 3 and the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg under it. I do believe the artist initials are on the back of the base but they are impossible to see. The figure is in excellent condition with a thin small chip off one of the plume's feathers. Displays perfectly! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
