Swan Scene Plate #1

This is a rare and superb plate made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century - 1912 to be exact. It is hand painted with a scene that covers the entire surfact of the front by the famous artist Ludwig Carl Frenzel who always painted these swan scenes. The cups are a bit more common but these large scene on plates are very rare! The plate is hand painted in under glaze colors with a pair of swans swimming on a lake with some greenery in the background as well as a temple looking structure - called the Apollotemple near the Nymphenburg park by the castle. A great plate that looks amazing and is in superb condition. No chips, etc. It is marked with the green shield under the crown with Nymphenburg under it, the impressed shield mark as well as a green Roman numeral XIII as shown. The piece is 0.75 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Signed by the artist Ludw. C.Frenzel and the number 11 for 1911. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
