Swallow Bird Figurine

This is a figurine of a swallow on the ground made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century just after WWII. Not a common pose for these birds if you know anything about them since they are always moving or high up on something since they cannot easily start from the ground. Not a model you across often at all. The bird is really well modeled and painted perfectly. The piece is 3.25 inches tall, 1.5 inches deep and 5.5 inches long. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath, the numbers 494 over 21 as well as the green shield mark with Nymphenburg under that and Western Germany in green under that. The backside of the base has the artist name T. Kaerner impressed into it. No introduction really neccessary on him :) The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
