Fancy Satire Mask Vase

This is a really awesome decorative vase design or urn on a pedestal made by Nymphenburg in 1978. These satire urns come in all sorts of version from the simple small vase to ones with the pedestal and even a large version which is really rare but I ahve never seen this fancy version with the superb pedestal and the applied floral garlands. It's a stunning piece with so much detail. The urn has devil heads / satire masks as the handles on the sides and some nice relief decoration but the best part are those applied flowers. The top has a little greenery growing out of it instead of the usual opening these pieces have so this is purely a decorative piece and not a true vase that could be used. The pedestal has lots of relief desigs to it. The piece is in perfect condition which is amazing with all those tiny details! It is marked with the impressed shield mark in the center of the front of the pedestal as well as underneath as shown with the numbers 1053d over 28 and the CT under a crown in blue with the year mark for 1978. That means this was originally a Frankenthal model. There is no cut across the CT it is just a flaw in the letters just in case you were wondering. The entire piece is 6.75 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
