Great Pelican Figurine

This is an amazing figurine of a pelican made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. First modeled by Wilhelm Neuhäuser in 1911 this figure here probably dates to that period. Not a figurine one sees often so it was definitely a must have! The bird is superbly modeled with some nice detail and hand painted nicely as well. Very realistic. The figure is 3.25 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 7.375 inches long. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark plus the numbers 324 and 10. The right leg has some brown paint remains that was likely meant as an artist signature but turned illegible during the firing process. The piece is in perfect condition with a few tiny black firing specs and glaze flaw to the feathers just above that signature area as shown. It was made this way and does not show when on display at all! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
