Striped Orchid & Hummingbird Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a hummingbird with a striped orchid flower made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. An amazing piece and one of the hardest to find in perfect condition due to the obviously fragile nature of this figure plus they are rare to begin with! An extremely well modeled piece and painted to perfection that just looks fun in your display case! There are multiple versions of these figurines with this one having the striped orchig grwoing out of the flower pot with four gilded feet underneath and the hummingbird swooping in from underneath. Truly a stunning piece! The figurine is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 861 over 6, a red Ex. 594 over 11 and the green shield mark under a crown with Nymphenburg underneath it as shown.
