Rare Skull w/ Crossbones

This is a really rare set - a miniature porcelain skull with the two femur bones - made made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. In 30 years of collecting I ahve never come across the bones along with the skull! This skull was originally modeled in the 18th century by Franz Ignatz Gunther as part of a Crucifix displayed in a small chapel in the winter residence of the famous Bavarian royal family, the Wittelsbach family. Always wanted to have one of these but theya re very hard to find and the corss is always too expensive whenever I do find it. So needless to say I was thrilled to find the skull with the crossbones! A super fun looking set :) The detail of the modeling is amazing! The bones have little holes in the ends to fasten them on something with a tiny nail. All three peices are marked as shown with the impressed shield mark with the skull also having the model number 624 a over B . Just the type of odditity that one has to see and own :) The skull is about 1.375 inches tall, 1.25 inches wide and 1.875 inches long. Each bones is 3.5 inches long. All three are in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
