Rudolph Sieck Creamer

This is a very hard to find Art Nouveau creamer made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. The form was designed by Adelbert Niemeyer around 1905 and is model number 108. This became one of the design classics of the Germany Jugendstil and Nymphenburg itself off course. The decoration was designed by the famous Rudolf Sieck around the same time. The original designed pieces would have been all hand painted but after Sieck left due to a fight with Niemeyer around 1908 the outlines were stencilled and then colored in as is the case here. The creamer has bouquet of flowers on grey ground to the front and back side with some single scattered flowers here and there in the white area. The scene is surrounded by a gold trim with a simple gold trim to the top edge. A top quality piece that is very elegant! The piece is is marked underneath with the the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg under it as well as some impressed numbers and a partial shield and some letters and numbers in black as shown. The piece is in perfect condition. It is 2.75 inches tall, 5.375 inches from handle to spout and just under 2.75 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
