Shetland Pony Figurine #2

This is a really fun figurine of a shetland pony made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. This figurine is extremely popular with collectors mainly because it was designed by the famous Luise Terletzky-Scherf and the fact that it comes in many different color and slight design variations that are just plain fun to look at. New they cost around 3 thousand Euros which is a bit crazy but one can find them from time to time on the resale market. I'd highly recommend looking them up because they are such enjoyable pieces! The figure is superbly modeled with some nice detail and hand painted nicely as well. One of the nicer colored examples which looks great on display! The figure is 4.875 inches tall, 1.875 inches wide and 4.875 inches long. Marked with the green shield mark with Nymphenburg underneath and impressed shield mark plus the number 989 ovwer 17 on the underside as shown! The piece is in perfect condition.
