Circus Elephant Figurine

This is a fun figurine of an elephant on top of a stand performing a circus routine made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century. A really fun piece that was designed by the famous Terletzki-Scherf who also designed many other circus animals for this series. The elephant and base are painted in happy colors and designs with the elephant looking mostly normal except for the fun ears. The piece is 7.75 inches tall, 6 inches long and 2.75 inches wide so a nice size. You can still order these today at Nymphenburg but they are far from cheap. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base as well as the impressed model number 657 and a number 3. There is also the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg under it. Another impressed shield mark to the front of the stand. The piece is in perfect condition which is nice since the tail is often damaged on these. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $899
