German Sphepherd Dog Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a German Shepherd made by Nymphenburg in the mid early to 20th century. It is the painted version and one of the nicest I ahve seen. The dog is superbly modeled and painted. It is one of my favorite models from the Nymphenburg factory. He is in the same condition as the day he was made so no issues. The figurine is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the impressed numbers 5, incised number 398 as well as the modelers name Th. Kaerner who is one of the top if not the best animal designers to ever have lived! The piece is 5.375 inches tall, 9.875 inches long and 5 inches deep.
